Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”
OR
Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.

凯蔚现代AU，推上很火的一篇，宇航员蔚x私人通讯员凯
文笔细腻，心理描写很好，节奏控制得舒服。一种超越时空、穿透宇宙的，完美的、理想的爱和信任。“宇宙中最伟大的风景都比不上你在我的面前。”
弥补了原作的遗憾，蔚既拥有了完整的家人，也拥有了爱人，而且这两点并不冲突。其实我不觉得这个结局足够好——它太完美了：凯决定和蔚一起去太空，而且这也符合凯自己的心愿。但是我觉得如果她们的理想发生一些分歧会更有趣：如果凯继续留在地面呢？这样她们就会进入下一个阶段，那就是必须认识到真正的爱首先是忠于自我，然后是要克服对情感的某些私欲。不过目前这个结局本来就是冲着完美的圆满去的，无可厚非，也非常动人。就像文中说的：“You deserve happiness，Vi.”蔚值得这样一个梦。

“Cait, don’t” Jayce warned her from his tied up position but the captain shushed him with another blade to his throat.
Slowly, the amused captain stepped forward. “Aren’t I lucky? I expect a ship full of gold and I find myself a princess, a very pretty one at that. One that’s willing to come aboard my ship in order to save the life of whatever crew is left… what an honourable thing to do, your majesty”
The captain seemed unbothered as her gloved fingers slowly took her in a tight grip once again. “I’ll take your deal, but you must know one thing… As long as you are aboard my ship, you will obey my orders without question”
Grey eyes held the gaze of cerulean as the princess softly answered “I understand."
With that, her fate was sealed.

"I'll stitch you up when you are back to consciousness" she mumbled, completely wrapped up in the dressing of the wound. So much so that she did not notice the voice that addressed her, at first.
A female voice with a very distinct American accent. The voice sounded exhausted, parched, low, but strong.
"If you're talking to me, you're going to have to speak English sweetheart"
Caitlyn's eyes widened as she looked up from dressing the wound and cerulean eyes found the greyest ones she had ever seen, sending a rush through her that she was unfamiliar with.
Then, Caitlyn spoke.
English this time, laced with a light French accent.
"I told you your wound would need to be stitched up when you were to wake" she simply informed her, ignoring how heart her started pounding yet again.

During the summer of 1943, Caitlyn rescues US Air Force pilot Violet McAdams from a plane wreck in the French country side, and decides to hide her on her farm to allow her wounds to heal properly.
Neither of them in prepared for the romance that follows this foolish, yet courageous decision.

推荐，凯蔚AU，二战历史向，法国农场主妇凯x美国飞行员蔚
文笔朴素但流畅，描写精准、简洁而充满情绪，跌宕起伏，对气氛和节奏急缓的把握非常好。至少第18章及以前是我最欣赏的叙事节奏和方式。
绝地之爱。作者对这对爱人还是很温柔的。在真实的历史上她们几乎不可能在德军的魔掌下如此简单就逃脱。第16章:全程屏住呼吸：担心凯特琳会不会被出卖、她的信会不会泄露什么、那个将军会不会为难她、她能不能平安到家……悬念很精彩。
第18章:为了善和正义而亡的人们……R.I.P。
第22章:巴黎这几章有地方让我觉得处理得不高明。1.蔚的形象，她被暗示为protecter，但安排给她的种种言行举动使人难以信服（被动地躲避和逃跑、被情绪裹挟、轻易屈服于小人的威胁和不安全感、没有任何地方展示她的军事素质等），本章她作为一个军人在恢复了足够体力的时刻竟然被哈斯克掌控而无力反抗，这是难以置信的。2.吉拉曼恩家的父母对女儿同性恋的宽容态度，和他们对自己亲人的排斥不符。
第24章:唉。同人作者什么时候可以放弃对“内疚感”的执着。少则怡情，大则伤身。
第31章:真正升华了整部作品的一章。关于战争和疗愈，关于真情，关于同性恋应当得到的权利、正义和自由……总之，关于文明的大历史和个人的小历史。
真美的作品。虽然在历史细节上尚嫌粗糙，但它的内核完全有成为优质原创的潜力。真美。❤️💙25.3.7凌晨，在读完14章的空隙上推特查找更多信息，发现作者在25.1.13这天发布消息决定暂停更新，原因是受到了粉圈对同人作者的攻击。这个该死的世道，这些卑劣愚蠢的混蛋。再多的历史故事也阻止不了历史的重演。这篇故事里的历史还在发生，永远在循环。💔
