Hope tenses slightly at the nickname.
“Why would you think that, Pads?”
“You haven't commented on my arse once yet! My ego is deflating with every second that passes!”
Effie and Hope both roll their eyes in perfect timing with Remus’ exasperated sigh.
“Think about the conversation me, you, and Prongs had yesterday, love.”
Hope sees Effie's smirk grow, rivalling her own. The cogs in Sirius’ brain click as his eyes whip to the family stand. Effie laughs beside her, giving a small wave down to where Sirius is standing.
“Shit, hi Effie.”
The school obviously knows who Effie is. Everyone, regardless of who they supported, is laughing. Hope could make out Remus’ quiet giggles amongst the crowd.
“Hi, Effie!” He calls down the mic, “Oh, I can see you've met my ma already.”
Sirius’ face falls at Remus’ mention of her. Hope doesn't realise why until Remus speaks again. “Ma, meet my twat of a boyfriend Sirius Black.”

Or; Hope is finally allowed into the wizarding world after the death of a blood supremacist. Remus invites her to a Quidditch match, and she finally gets to meet the Padfoot that she's heard so much about.
