Double Black has never been the type to do anything the easy way, so naturally they let the Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia know about their engagement in the most chaotic way possible: Not actually letting them know, and waiting til they figure it out themselves.
A sequel to my fic, It's Not Gay If We're In America featuring more fluff and less angst, Dazai realizing the ADA are more than just coworkers to him and Chuuya and the rest of the Port Mafia being saps.

“Can I turn around now? You’re awfully slow,” Dazai said, rolling back and forth on the balls of his feet.
“Yeah, sure,” Chuuya replied, although he didn’t sound very sure at all. Still, that wasn’t going to stop Dazai, so true to his word, he immediately spun around.
Every single insult he had prepared got suddenly stuck in his throat.
Dazai expected Chuuya to be dressed up, but he wasn’t expecting this.
He hadn’t expected Chuuya to actually look good.
Or: Soukoku are assigned an undercover mission, and Chuuya has to dress up for it. Surely that's amazing teasing material for Dazai to use, right?
