Summary
Junior year.
Max is dating Esme and Abby is being extremely normal about it. She drinks vodka at school sometimes and draws things she won’t explain. Max writes a play about it, sort of. Esme holds everyone together until she starts coming apart too, which would be easier for Abby to ignore if she hadn’t started caring.
In the art room, Marcus, Ginny, and Esme run a zine club for the things nobody says out loud, and Abby's definitely not one of the anonymous contributors. Obviously, everyone handles this with grace.
