He steps forward, into her space. His sock covered toes touching hers. He’s taller like this, with her shoes kicked off at the door. He hovers over her as he leans in close, pressing his sleeping grandson into her arms.
She cradles him to her, still warm from where he rested against Elliot.
When she finally tears her eyes away and lifts them back to him, he’s smiling shyly.
“Seems like it’s working,” he whispers.

3.0 EO case fic for ya'll with undercover Liv. Sort of current times but I don't delve into every piece of major 3.0 canon (at least not yet). I was in the mood to write something fast-paced and fiery and not get totally bogged down in angst. I know it's a big part of them though, so I do get into it a bit here and there, but it's not the core of the story.
And I change my mind around 800 times when writing a fic so who knows what I'll be doing with them in subsequent chapters :)
All I can promise for sure is it will have insane smut at some point.
