Summary
It was the little things, at first, that Ririka discreetly noticed and that Mary probably didn't. But it grew out to be more meaningful, each take, Ririka memorized the steps and danced with the excruciating feelings it gave her even for a few and brief seconds—and still, Mary didn't.

Summary
(“For you,” Kirari says, handing her the Mask. “To hide.”)
---
So Ririka starts simple. Mary helps her begin the list, because she's got nothing but a good heart behind her glares, and also because Ririka has no idea how to go about this. Mary even supplies the notebook.
#1. I like the wintertime, Ririka writes later that very day, sitting in their now-usual haunt (a storage shed on campus; unused, so she can take off her Mask comfortably) and basking under Mary’s supportive gaze. It's a very broad statement, she thinks, so it's perfect for her first entry. It's also something safe to like - something she and Kirari are in perfect agreement on. Winter is simply superior.
“It's a start,” Mary says, proudly.
And nearly a week after the first entry, Ririka discovers that if she’s actively looking for things that she likes, she finds them in spades.

Summary
“... You’re here.” Ririka moves away to look at Mary in her eyes. Her tone was nothing accusing of the sort, or that she did not intend to embarrass the blonde at all. Mary’s eyes were rambling anywhere but to her girlfriend the moment it left her tongue—she was painfully aware of what was coming. “In a room, with me. You demanded an embrace, of all things I did not expect. I’d rather hear a reason than leave me astray.”
