Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”

Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.

Summary
Vi has a dilemma.
Crushing hard on Sarah Fortune, Vi wants nothing more than to ask her out. But Sarah didn't go out with women that were inexperienced losers like Vi. If Vi was even going to stand a slight chance with her, she'd need to finally lose her virginity. Feeling hopeless, Vi turns to her very best friend, Caitlyn, for advice. She could talk to her about anything, seeing as though they had been best friends ever since they started college together.
And sure enough, Caitlyn has a solution. Just... not the one that Vi had imagined.
Caitlyn proposes the idea of being Vi's teacher, giving her sex lessons and teaching her everything she needs to know before she can approach Sarah. Although there were a million reasons why doing such a thing with your best friend is a horrible idea, Vi agrees regardless. As long as no strings become attached, everything should be fine... right? -

“Oh it’s going to be sunshine and rainbows,” Ambessa said with a flat tone that couldn’t sound less excited, an extremely sarcastic smile on her face. “An absolute walk in the park. I’m practically sending you on vacation on this hunt to stop a new, dangerous drug from spreading out onto my streets.”
The only thing they have in common is that there’s nothing either of them wanted more than to put high school behind them and never look back. But now that’s the one place they have to work together, bust a drug ring without getting caught, and remember that this isn’t a chance for a do-over.

You're not supposed to find your roommate, best friend, and the only person you can tolerate school events with attractive. That's rule number one.
If you break rule number one, then under absolutely no circumstances should you admit to it. Vi knows the rule; she wrote it after first meeting Caitlyn Kiramman halfway through their freshman year at Piltover-Zaun University.
She has a good gig. Caitlyn is funny, sweet, kind, and she does her dishes without being asked. They have similar courses. Their friends all get along.
Sure, Caitlyn likes to thread her arm through Vi's when they walk, and she always wants to sit next to Vi anytime they go out. But that's just what friends do. So when someone jokes again that Caitlyn and Vi are dating and the taller girl just laughs it off, Vi always laughs too. Because you can find your roommate attractive, but you can't do anything about it.
That is until election results lead to Vi finding a very drunk Caitlyn just sitting on her motorcycle. Outside. In the dark. Where Caitlyn is very much not joking.
