He licks the last of the slop off his hand, the sharp pain in his stomach dimming a bit. The bell is cold against his back, but it's shelter from the sharp winds at the top of the school.
None of the other kids can get up here. Lloyd is small enough to fit out the window in the room below the bell tower; none of them are. They would need a key to get up. He's safe here.
