Summary
“Can I buy you a drink?” He offers, his voice low and his eyes dark. Then he reaches for his own glass, his hand brushing against hers, and there’s something ridiculously endearing about the flush that spreads across his cheeks.
She shakes her head, biting back a grin at the look of bewilderment he can’t quite mask.
“Nope.” And maybe it’s the liquid courage, or maybe it’s because he’s cute — or maybe it’s because she just left her shitty ex-boyfriend to drive halfway across the country and is feeling empowered; either way, Donna leans into his space, her hand coming up to rest on his forearm, her foot running up and down the inside of his calf, as she gives him a coy smile and asks: “Do you wanna get out of here?”

Summary
No one knows how or why the marks started appearing – some say it’s a physiological phenomenon brought on by evolution, others say it’s divine intervention – but the world changed seemingly overnight into a place where the stars align for those brave enough to ask for it.

Summary
Josh Lyman never thought that a single phone call could violently turn his entire world on its axis, but here he sits, receiver in hand, mouth dry and hands numb. Tears prick at his eyes as he stares wordlessly at the walls of his office. And, all at once, he realises, this is a problem that cannot be solved through political dexterity or boyish charm. No. This is a mess of his making.
