Summary
Matty turns to the camera. It’s really in the moment, it’s not a calculated thing. So much of that show has been finely tuned and choreographed, but this isn’t. The words come easy.
“This is about you,” he says, mouths really, because he’s not using the microphone and his words are drowned out by the music. He points to the camera, wine bottle in hand.
“You know who you are. You should know this.”
He makes sure to enunciate this last part. He wants it known: “I love you.”
He takes another swig of the wine and gets lost in the song.
Less than 24 hours later the world goes batshit insane.
