He bags groceries at the market down the street from his apartment.
His life is blessedly stagnant. He works five days a week and jogs on the weekends. He comes home to a silent apartment and turns the TV on while he cooks a proper dinner instead of surviving on expired packaged meals. He freezes the leftovers. He lays in an empty bed but reads himself to sleep when the quiet is too loud. He keeps a stack of dog eared novels on his nightstand.
Toji is content. He got out of the game and lives a quiet, uneventful life.
If only the universe would let him stay out.
