Summary

Summary
When he finally reaches the top of the climb, the hallucination doesn’t go away. Jonas blinks and he’s still there, standing next to his bike leaning against a concrete bench, taking a selfie. Jonas watches as the mirage furrows his eyebrows at screen and readjusts the angle of his phone to take another photo. Jonas is vaguely aware that the wheezing sound he’s hearing is coming from his lungs and that the metallic taste in his mouth is his own blood.
Tadej startles when he finally looks up from the phone. That’s when Jonas vision becomes staticky at the edges.
(2024: Tadej becomes a force to be reckoned with and Jonas does a lot of reckoning.)

“Kirk, I have a medical report from your CMO saying that you two are…” She squints. “‘Exhibiting an inability to tolerate a loss of physical contact without severe and shared cephalalgia?’ So what, he’s saying that your heads hurt if you stop holding hands?”
Jim lifts his and Spock’s arms into view of the camera. “Yes ma’am.”
“Really?” The Admiral says in a tone of unabashed curiosity.
“I can assure you, ma’am, we are not doing this for recreational purposes.” Spock says dryly.
...
Or the one in which Jim gets hit with Sex Pollen TM, but Spock doesn't like his consent dubious so politely declines.
Luckily, that crisis is averted. Unluckily, Jim and Spock realize they have been left unable to go without touching for more than a few minutes without excruciating pain. “Did I fuck up? I was his roommate in Tenerife,” Matteo asks. He remembers many mornings he had woken Jonas to ask if he wanted to go on an early ride with him to the nearby café. Many mornings where he played his music maybe too loud in the bathroom. But Jonas didn’t say anything, just smiled easily, and entertained his whims.
“You wanted that, no?” Tiesj says. “You asked Grischa.”
He had. And it was the best two weeks of his life.
(In which Matteo and Jonas are roommates again in Tignes. Matteo is excited and doesn't think he's annoying. He also doesn't think Jonas has changed.)
