Post-5x21 AU: After the events at the Lion's Club, a timer clicks on in Dan's head signalling the end of his relationship with Blair. When the end comes, he begins to question if it was an inevitable occurrence or the worst kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. And then, quickly thereafter, if there's a way to undo it. Or, at the very least to get his friend back.

Summary
Blair doesn't confide in Nate about the hotel instead she talks to Dan, AU and Cannon-divergent from there.
Blair did get into Yale and chooses to work on herself wanting someday to deserve a love like Dorota and Vanya.
Dan can't help but constantly be impressed by her and it inspires him to write "Inside" earlier but instead of going to Georgina or Vanessa he asks Blair to read and edit it for him, wanting her approval before he tries to publish it.
