She was watched by her father, the Dark Lord, as she grew into her magic. She was watched by the Black sisters, reprimanded for any error, and moulded into perfection. She was watched by Draco, Theo, and Pansy; they regarded her opinion above most others. She was watched by the Death Eaters as they measured up their Master’s Heir. She was watched by Rebels, unknown to her. She was watched by Snape, who couldn’t decide which of her fathers he hated more.
Harriet was watched, and she watched the world in return, anticipating the day she would make it hers.

Summary
Minerva McGonagall was a clever, no-nonsense type of woman.
So, when Albus Dumbledore called her to a muggle home to transfer the infant that just defeated the dark lord to the care of the painfully average muggle family, she had several protests.
“What do you suggest then, Minerva? What family could keep her safe from those who are angry with their lord’s defeat, while not allowing her to be placed on a pedestal? There are too many that would take advantage of such access to the girl-who-lived, as they are calling her.” Dumbledore asked distractedly.
An idea occurred to her. An idea more reckless and Gryffindor-like than any stunt her students had pulled since the Marauders graduated.
“I could do it,” she said, hardly believing the words were leaving her own mouth.

Obi-Wan narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?" He asked, hoping a direct question would yield answers. The old man seemed adept at side-stepping information when asked a bit more deftly. “I’ve never heard of a Master with your level of talent.”
The old man seemed surprised. “If you’ve never heard of one like me, then what good would my name be? You wouldn’t know it.”
Obi-Wan felt a flare of irritation, and quickly squashed it. The old man blinked, as if he hadn’t expected to feel that, and he smiled, sadly. “My name is Luke,” he said, as if a peace offering.
The force trilled in his ear, and Obi-Wan frowned. "Luke what?" He asked, and the old man, this Luke, smiled wryly.
"Luke Skywalker.”
