Summary
After Angel Dust walks away from the Hazbin Hotel and back into Valentino’s control, both he and Husk begin to unravel in very different ways.
Husk, left behind at the hotel, spirals under the weight of what he didn’t do, what he couldn’t fix, and the growing belief that waiting might be the cruelest failure of all. As Angel’s sense of self fractures under control and conditioning, Husk begins to fear that saving him may require crossing the same lines that broke him in the first place.
Because in Hell, even good intentions can become a cage.

Husk is broken, Angel is lost, and Hell isn’t kind to souls shattered at the altar of hope.
One is trying not to be cut into tiny pieces over and over again. The other can’t tell which pieces were ever really his.

Stolas pulled his hand slowly out of Blitzø's grasp, already loosened by the deep sleep the imp was in, and quietly and with much effort, got himself off the tiny couch, all his limbs creaking in protest as he did so.
His heart hammering, he was about to make for the door when a quiet voice from the kitchenette murmured, “I’d think twice about doing that.”
Stolas almost jumped clean out of his feathers.
He looked at Loona, trying to place an expression on his face that was at least a little bit innocent.

Summary
After the battle with the Exorcists, Husk challenges Valentino to a game of Blackjack for Angel's soul.
Val doesn't play fair and summons Husk's ex to ruin his game, so Angel steps in with moral support. When Husk wins, a golden chain locks around Angel's neck and Angel is surprised to find that he doesn't want Husk to remove it.
Cue a sweet, complicated romance - one that Val isn't too pleased about.

Summary
“I remembered,” he starts, holding Angel’s glass still and pouring the wine in. It’s red, smells strong, and Angel hums in acknowledgment to what Husk is saying, watching his glass fill, “that I had this bottle downstairs. Hadn’t opened it.” Once he’s done with Angel, he pours his own, setting the bottle down on the floor beside the bed. “I don’t know what I was saving it for. But—I figured no better time to have it than the night before the end of our existence.”
(Nobody can sleep before the battle, so Husk and Angel make the most of what little time they might have left.)
