It's just not the same, you know? And going from seeing Buck basically every day to maybe three times a week is…rough to say the least.
He‘s had a solution brewing in his mind since Buck got discharged, of course, but it seems too telling of what he wants, how he feels about Buck.
“We miss you, too,” he says honestly. Then, he opens his mouth again, for what he’s not sure, when a high-pitched whine reaches his ears.
A very high-pitched whine, one that is definitely not from Buck.
“I think you’re squeezing it too hard,” Buck tells him with a grin, his previous mood forgotten as he looks at the toy in Eddie’s grip.
The toy? It whines? He didn’t even feel-
