He poured his coffee and held both hands around the body of the mug, letting the fresh coffee's warmth absorb into his hand and crawl up his arm, slowly but surely.
He never liked coffee, the taste was too bitter for his liking, but he managed to choke it down back then for the sake of energy. Now the caffeine didn't really affect him, but the warmth was enough to keep him drinking it now and again.
Even today, in his home, sometimes he felt as if he were being dragged through the snow for miles again, chilled down to the bone, shivering and not even really conscious. All he knew was cold. Cold.
