Summary
Sakura’s last and longest arrangement was with his uncle, aunt and cousin. He came to them at 12 and was immediately put in the shed, isolated from them and the rest of the neighborhood. Of course, whenever he did see them, he was subjected to the same treatment he was accustomed to by then. Hurtful words and sometimes a painful hand to his body for being ‘too much.’ Alone, abused, and unloved - he was use to it.
That’s why he wanted to stay in Makochi more than anything. Here he wasn’t alone, he had a whole class of friends who relied on him as their captain and a handful of senpai’s he could turn to if he ever needed help. Here he wasn’t abused and mistreated by the people who were supposed to care about him. Here he wasn’t unloved, because he’s learned, over time, that those he loved actually loved him back.
