Bookmarker's Notes
I've been kicking myself mentally for not reading this in full sooner. Typically, I only like to read fics that are a continuation of the canon or a slight AU here and there, depending on the series. I feel like anything beyond that (like crossovers from two completely different franchises or even fantasy/modern AUs) would feel misplaced and out of sorts, and of course, out of character. But boy, were my assumptions totally wrong with this story.
This is one of the most beautifully written pieces of work that I have ever read. Not just for Life is Strange fanfic or even fanfic, but in writing in general. Each character feels like they were pulled straight from the game itself. They're believable and true to themselves. Seeing how the characters interact in Chapter Three of the game, of course, helps us understand how they could possibly act in a fantasy setting. Especially when it came to our love birds, Alex and Steph. But just after Chapter 1 of this fic any doubts or worries that I had were instantly gone.
The slow-burn at a beautiful yet agonizing pace (again in the best way possible,) the yearning/ mutal pinning turned up to 11, so many of their interactions had me giddy and other moments had me playfully roll my eyes and shake my head. Those moments where you go, how could these fools not see it? Also, in moments filled with tension, I felt like I could feel it too. You just feel it all with this fic.
Once I started properly reading this story, I was hooked. It took me barely two nights to finish it. And I'm almost done with a second read and will most likely re-read and third and fourth and so on. This story also has helped me get out of an art slump I've sort of been in these past few months and I'm incredibly grateful for it. It's gotten me excited to see what our favorite characters would look like in fantasy gear and in certain situations from various chapters.
Looking forward to more from this writer!

Summary
1st story posted, but let's not worry about that. This is a different version of True Colors where some parts are exactly the same (especially the beginning, including a lot of dialogue to keep things mostly canon to start with, but becomes less and less the same as it goes on), some similar (but either with changes or rearranged in the story), and some parts that are completely different. At one point it completely diverges.
Still, spoiler warning, obviously.
It's also probably important to mention that Alex is not exactly the same, more broken maybe, sometimes more shy. Also, she is not currently aware of her own sexuality.
I will be including my own unprofessional music as a sort of soundtrack sometimes. (So I recommend listening with headphones since my mixing skills are not professional either) I will update when I can, hopefully weekly at the least, though validation through comments may help push me to post more often. Thanks all who take the time to read/listen!
