His eye stared hot at her now and he took a tense step toward her. She did not retreat back from him. She was afraid, but something held her there.
He inhaled the scent of her. “None,” His mouth replied, but his eye said something else. Lowering his head closer to her face, she still made no attempt to move. “Natalya.”
“Yes, my Lord?” She waited for what felt to be an eternity.
He reached up slowly and touched a few hairs at the side of her face that somehow had fallen free of their confines, the muscles of his hand moving them between his forefinger and middle finger. “Should you wish for a true dragon,” He said, lips inches from hers, “I am not difficult to find.”
