Summary
The sound makes him freeze on the spot. It is barely there, making him doubt if he really heard it or not. Cautiously turning back to the door, he presses an ear against it. Barely a second later he hears it again. This time clearer.
It is a cry. A weak, almost silent one, but it is there. For a few seconds, Till can’t put a name on it. It can be a stray cat, or some small animal for all he knows. Yet, there is this mysterious voice in the back of his head that says he should probably not ignore it. Till listens to it, forming eye contact with Ivan as he enters the living room with a slight frown of his own. Till only shrugs at him in return.
The door finally opens, and Till looks at the empty hallway before the faint cry pulls his attention to the ground next to the door.

“Oh, has A-Yuan forgotten what he promised me~?”
Shen Yuan furrows his eyebrows together and returns his focus back to the task at hand, ignoring Luo Binghe’s soft laughter. “I didn’t promise you anything,” he huffs, a little annoyed. “I only sent you out to collect Drakesbane. That’s hardly a task at all.”
“Hm, true, I suppose,” Luo Binghe hums, suddenly nonchalant. “But don’t you think you should thank me in some way?” he prompts with a yawn, revealing those perfect white fangs and his pink maw. “It’s the little things that count, no?”
Shen Yuan needs to thank his familiar properly for all the help he's received but unfortunately in Luo Binghe's language, that means thanking him with his body.
or: Luo Binghe gets a piece of that sweet Shen Yuan ass.
