This follows the story roughly as Leroux gave it to us, but with one key difference; what if our Phantom was a woman?

    This is a Leroux-mostly-based retelling, everyone else's genders are staying the same, just Erik is now Esme, and we'll see how that changes things in this universe. This is an experiment.
