    Well, what did you think I’d be? A horse? Newton scoffed, tapping his paw on Katie’s leg. Katie, I don’t think this man’s ever been to medical school, I think we should go. I’ll be fine.
    “Kate?!”
    Kate cleared her throat awkwardly, standing and scooping Newton back up in her arms as she moved forward. “Hey, Anthony, it’s been a long time.”
