“What?” Sirius snapped back at him, “what do you want me to say? Oh yes the big bad werewolf took a chunk out of poor old Padfoot, what a horrid monster.”
“Keep your voice down,” Remus hissed, eyes darting around the quite-empty ward.
“No one’s here,” Sirius swept out an arm, “and I’m not feeding into this Moons.”
“Feeding into what?” Remus snarled. Sirius huffed a weary sigh.
“Your whole ‘I’m a monster’ routine. It’s tired.”
OrRemus is convinced he's a horrible monster, and Sirius takes it upon himself to prove a point.

But, in the end, need and desperation win out. The desire to have a baby overrules any and all feelings or hesitations he may have. Because, really, having a baby is all he wants—all he’s ever wanted.
So yeah, he’ll ask Remus.
