Everyone in class had gotten the memo from day one that Susie wasn’t someone to mess around with. All Susie had to do was grumble some half-assed threat about shoving them in a locker and she could pretty much get everyone to do whatever she wanted. Not that she would ever do such a thing, but if she looked scary enough while she said it nobody really thought twice about it.

Summary
"Before he could bring himself back to the present, two pairs of hands grabbed his forearm and began hauling him forward.
He stumbled forward, looking ahead of him, momentarily confused. He was met by Atsushi and Kyoka’s concerned expressions as they attempted to haul him away from the rivers edge.
“Dazai-san we need those supplies for the party, you can’t drown yourself now!” Atsushi protested, and Kyoka nodded in agreement.
His eyes widened a little in realization, “Oh I wasn’t-“ he trailed off, a little a taken aback.
I wasn’t going to. He was going to say. But how ridiculous was that?
He was Dazai Osamu, the infamous suicide fanatic. That was his entire brand!
So he let out a dramatic sigh and shook his head sadly, “Aw you guys are no fun.” He complained, pouting dramatically."

Phoenix looks around the room, trying to refute his ridiculous earlier statement. But… he only finds more evidence. The half drunk bottle of wine, the remnants of a catered wagyu steak dinner, the cake. Edgeworth’s house is clean and atmospheric and the lights dimmed enough to be pleasant on the eyes; there’s a fire crackling in the hearth. Soft jazzy renditions of Christmas classics play through the stereo very faintly.
“Yeah,” he says finally. “Date-like. Date-ly. Date-ishly.”
“Please stop doing that to suffixes,” Edgeworth requests.
