"I just keep asking…why?” Her steely gaze rested on Seven. She started to move forward. “Why did we have to find this anomaly. Why did we have to be transported to a universe that’s so…different,” her voice broke a little on that last word, the loudness of her voice rising with each sentence. She was now standing right in front of Seven, so close that the other woman could feel her body heat.
“And why, on earth, did you have to wear blue?” she said, her voice raw, almost guttural, as she gripped Seven’s shoulders. Seven reached up to grip her hands, almost without thinking.
