Of course as a lady she wasn’t very nature-oriented or adventurous, so she wasn’t prepared for the many hardships she encountered: the cold, the rain, some mosquitoes, barely edible meals, infrequent baths, a grumpy travel companion and a fluttering of unknown origin in her tummy.
