This will be the very fabrication of what it means to truly and completely succumb to grief. Feelings tear us apart and build us back up into the monsters we fear that are hiding under our beds or in our closets. We become the things we hate, and nothing is scarier than losing yourself to the slow descent of madness, spiraling down and down and down until you’re lost to your own mind. Grief plagues you and sadness riddles you. Hatred becomes the reason you live, and sanity is never the same. When trauma hits you again and again, it is hard to get back up.
