Bio
I began writing fanfiction ca 1998 for Trek:Voyager, published my first in the Janeway/Chakotay fandom in 2000, eventually "defected" ;) to M/M slash - Chakotay/Paris "The Fantasy of Tom". Eventually created ("Shape of Shadows") the pairing Ayala/Kim. I'm sure other folks had written Ayala/Kim before me, but I hadn't run across any. I enjoyed fleshing out the lower decks Ayala, and still do.
I do not write "enemy slash" for Chakotay/Paris. I never saw Chakotay as a domineering personality, nor Tom as a submissive personality in canon. I saw their history portrayed, pre-canon: See "Secrets and Lies". I know Chakotay was introduced in early publicity as the first bisexual character in Trek. I saw two men who were passionate, complex, loyal.
Within my M/M Trek:Voy works, I occasionally co-wrote with the J/C writer, Shayenne. She has removed her extensive work from the internet, but she's agreed to archive at AO3 our creations. Still have 1 work to post (Ayala/Kim: "Gordian Knot")
Some facts I use are from Jeri Taylor's "Pathways" novel, presented as canon when published. Ca yr 4? she left her role as creator/producer and subsequently "Pathways" was declared no longer canon. By men. I've retained the facts, in support.
In the Law&Order fandom, I wrote Ed Green & Jack McCoy. I like the canon subtext between Green and McCoy. I enjoy writing about differences between people, to look beyond the surface to what might attract one person to another. Ed Green & Jack McCoy exemplify that, to me.
Bibliography (2000-present) at my Fanlore page.
I archived my slash at Remember Us? - for characters of color. My links there are incomplete, and now dead.
I continue to write fanfiction for AO3. My goal will always be to create a story for the reader's enjoyment.
I've written original works outside of fandom/fanfiction under my true name.
