Summary
With that, Hornet makes her way up to the bellhome, taking swift steps up the platforms. She couldn't help but feel worried - Phantom had been out and about much since their freedom from their mother, so them staying inside all day is very out of character from them.
She doesn't think a silk-spun bug could fall ill, at least not in the traditional sense, but maybe there's something similar that could happen? Or maybe they injured themself while home alone and needed help.
The door is still locked, meaning Phantom hadn't even attempted to leave their bellhome. She fishes out her key out of her pouch, unlocking and gently opening the door.
The lights are on, just dimmed, and Phantom lays on their shared bed.

During the rebuilding of Pharloom, Phantom finds themself going through their first ever heat. Thankfully, they have a partner by their side that is quite experienced when it comes to those.

Summary
“Are you well?” It was a loaded question. Hornet had just brought Lace’s world crashing down on top of her, unraveled everything she had ever known. How could Lace possibly be well?
“How considerate of you, spider, to ask only now.” Lace’s tone held some degree of bite, but Hornet could tell that she was exhausted by her time possessed by void. “Not when you stole Mother’s affections, not when you shredded my pathetic shell and crushed my desires, but only now.”

Summary
Hornet assumes the mantle of Weaver Queen and sets out to rebuild the kingdom. Lace finds a new purpose in life. Together they go through the Pharloom's past, so that they can give it a better future.

Languidly, Hornet walks over, towering over her. “Indeed. Your mother is no more.” She kneels, and places a claw under Lace’s chin to lift her head so that she can stare deep into the fascinating pale depths of her eyes. Another clawed hand rests on her head. “You should bow to your new queen.”

Summary
She stiffened as it turned its wrist to look at her, blinking as its face came into view. She was surprised to see a pale, horned mask. Aside from the crudely-wrapped bandages covering one of its eyes, the shape of its horns and the abysmal state its cloak was in, the resemblance to the spider was quite striking.
In which the Dung Defender and the Hollow Knight travel to Pharloom in search of Hallownest's missing sentinel and get wrapped up in much more than they initially anticipated.
