Summary
Kate Stewart is used to dealing with things she's never seen before showing up out of nowhere. She isn't, however, used to dealing with things she's never seen before that have suddenly always been there. Fortunately, the Doctor shows up. Unfortunately, cracks start to appear in Kate's well-oiled team. The anomaly -- whatever it is -- is messing with them in ways to which even the Doctor is not immune. Kate herself is of course also affected, but that definitely has absolutely nothing to do with her decision to incarcerate the Doctor, she's sure. Nothing at all...
Meanwhile, Verity has made the mistake of trying to find a Time Ring in a dimensionally transcendental time machine with a mind of its own, despite the fact that she doesn't even know how to get to the toilets yet. It certainly isn't going to be easy...

Summary
The nineties: darker, edgier. Guns and shoulder pads competing for the most outrageous size and morally ambiguous heroes to wield both in equal measure. Fiction, of course. But if there's one thing more outrageous than fiction, it's only around the corner from an anachronistic police box of inconsistent dimensions.
