Summary
Agent Choi has been having dreams. Nightmares.
It was just him and his junior —Grapes, to be exact— in a white void. It would be silent, save for his own heartbeat and their breathing.
Then, not knowing when, in the abstract time passing inside his subconscious, the other set of breathing stopped.
His body turned into a corpse. Like a mannequin that was never alive in the first place. Like the breathing he heard was merely a fragment of his imagination.
He rushed towards him, pulling him up to his chest. No breathing, no pulse. He rocks the body back and forth, hoping for a response.
And he wakes up again, all attempts futile.
