'Hector’s eyes narrowed as he considered the contract. Malfoy stood almost nervously, trying and failing to maintain his aura of collectedness. Hector sighed as he slowly rolled the parchment. It wasn’t the worst betrothal contract he had seen, but it wasn’t exactly ideal.
“And if I don’t sign, I assume you’ll bring your friends back and kill us all?”'

Hector promises his granddaughter to both the Malfoy and Nott families in order to secure the safety of the Dagworth-Granger family in the First Wizarding War, before taking steps to hide the girl away from the families to protect her from the mistakes he made.
But magical contracts yearn to be fulfilled, and years later, Hermione Granger is beginning to arouse suspicions that she is more than a mere muggleborn after all....

A fantastic study of Hermione. For a literary reader this was perfection. Theo was so adorable and I loved the slow burn nature of the romances. It felt very real and the world felt so lived in.

In a misguided attempt at house unity after the war, Hogwarts has decided to start doing a student exchange program between the houses. For the pilot of this program, one male and one female student from each house will spend the Fall Term in a different house to experience new things and better understand their fellow students.
