Habit was not human by any stretch of the imagination, and that is exactly how he likes things. He loves the cries of horror when he does the unspeakable and behaves like any reasonable demon aught to behave. But humans, tricky little pesky humans always have a trick up their sleeve. The longer Habit spends in any particular human vessel, the more human influence he suffers from. At terminal levels of human influence there is no telling what sort of gross human emotions he might suffer from! Attraction and desire, including the desire to make his former hostage-turned-friend happy and content. The horror never ends!
(AKA Habit is becoming emotionally intelligent against his will, and finds himself caring for his favorite plaything more than he anticipated)
