“Welcome,” he says on autopilot.
“Hi hi,” says the man entering the store, putting a hand up in a casual greeting before making a beeline for the snack aisle.

Summary
“You're new,” Jisung proclaims.
Minho snorts. “Am I?”
“Well, I've never seen you here before.”
“Because you know all of their wedding guests?”
Jisung has to laugh. “I know most of Hyunjin’s side,” he says.
“Well obviously I’m a friend of Seungmin’s.”
Jisung pauses to stare, eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Yeah,” he plays along. “But you’re new.”
Minho chuckles. “You keep saying that. What does that mean?”
“I mean that you’re new. Here. Today. New. I’ve experienced this wedding over thirty times now and—” his breath hitches because he really just said that out loud, but there’s an immediate flicker in Minho’s eyes that has him exhaling with relief.
“Oh. Well.”
alternatively: In which Jisung gets stuck repeating the day when his best friend gets married, only to meet a brand new friendly face a month into the grueling experience.

Summary
From closer, it’s clear that Minho is about his age. He’s handsome— very much so— in an untouchable sort of way. Straight nose, sharp eyes, a defined cupid’s bow. He looks sculpted rather than born. Jisung might shrink under the weight of his presence if the situation were different.
Knowing that Minho is dying ruins the illusion of perfection.
Jisung answers an ad online reading: "I'm going to die, but there's a lot of things I haven't done yet that I don't want to do alone."

Summary
The first time Minho had talked about Jisung in his sleep, Seungmin had given him a pass. It’d been about his fears over elimination, about how the younger man was helping him. A totally reasonable thing to talk about during the few nights of the month where your body causes you to be involuntarily vulnerable. Mumbling in your sleep two years later about your bro’s pretty smile and soft lips, maybe less so…

Or, Minho sleep talks when the moon is full. Everyone knows how ridiculous it can get, but his roommates also know that he sometimes says vulnerable stuff they pretend they didn't hear, like when he dreams about Jisung. Minho hates that others can hear him so he makes sure to never let anyone see him sleep on those nights. Cue a week of filming for variety shows, the full moon, and an assigned roommate Jisung.

Summary

Minho scoffs at Hyunjin’s question but keeps his eyes on his phone. It’s only when he doesn’t hear an answer that he looks up at Jisung, who has returned from the bathroom. He’s frozen with a grimace on his face, but then his eyes find Minho’s.
