Summary
Humans and monsters lived in peace. Everyone was on the surface happily. No troubles with either species’ existence.
But when the first zombie breakout was reported, all went to hell. Humans blamed monsters and began to call them rabid creatures. Thinking magical prowess had something to do with the progressive outbreaks, and the increasingly strident outbursts of hatred sparking back and forth caused some monsters to shift. The magic in their souls warping and corrupting with their bloody hatred turning them into bloodthirsty, mindless beasts that rampaged and killed. If a monster came in contact with these ‘Bloodbeasts’, the corruption would spread, like the monster’s version of zombies.
After those first few harsh years, humans and monsters in Ebbot City began a new rocky coexistence. Relying on each other once more for safety from their respective infectious creatures, and taking refuge underground, in the city's expansive sewer system.
And the system was about to get three new skeleton members. From other universes outside of your own. After finding them and rescuing them, you couldn't just leave alive souls out for dead. You had become their new babysitter.
