Summary
When Beau gets an unexpected call from her mother, she finds herself desperate for a getaway from the pressures of life in the city. With Caleb in the driver seat beside her, the two find themselves at a charming farmhouse called the Blooming Grove. The caretaker is delightfully odd but his tea is always warm and Beau is ready to settle in. However, after a mysterious woman stumbles onto their porch in the middle of a storm, Beau's vacation may not be as restful as she'd hoped.

Summary
The Mighty Nein have defeated Lucien but their escape from the collapsing ruins of Aeor is treacherous. Caleb and Essek find themselves separated from the Nein, nearly unconscious and with few spells left between them. With no other alternative, they seek shelter to rest and recuperate. The two wizards take a moment to commiserate and reflect.
