“Tell me Mr. Poe do you consider yourself prideful?” The man seems surprised to be asked such a question and Ranpo finds he doesn’t mind the change in expression. “And would you consider pride a fault or a virtue?” Ranpo continues.
“I cannot say, maybe it’s that I find it hard to forgive the follies and vices of others or their offenses against me, my good opinion once lost is lost forever.” Ranpo holds the man’s eye and wonders how he never noticed that they were more of a violet then a grey. Perhaps it’s because his eyes are always covered by his hair. He finds that he wishes to see more of his face that tends to be hidden.
“What a shame I can’t tease you about something like that, I surely do love to laugh,” Ranpo sighs.

Ranpo never expected the shy author to have such a bold side to him. It seemed the more he learned the less he knew and if he was being honest, he didn’t dislike it. It left more to be discovered, more mysteries to deduce. He truly was a peculiar man.(Unfinished)
