It’s the first time he’s seen Jisung since they broke up and he has no idea what he should be feeling right now, but he knows he doesn’t like what he is. Jisung…looks good. Happy. Or, at least, not stressed. He’s sitting in the armchair they used to squeeze into together, one leg crossing the other while he taps and fiddles with the frayed fabric of his jeans while Seungmin sits on the floor at Felix’s feet across the room trying to remember what it's like to breathe.
Seungmin learns how to go back to being Seungmin, and Jisung, after so long being Seungmin and Jisung.

“Hyung, I’ll take care of it.” Minho’s head snaps up to look at Felix, and Hyunjin makes a noise of confusion. He hasn't needed to work his magic on Seungmin in months, but he’s confident he’s still capable of curbing Seungmin’s anger. “He doesn't need to talk. He just needs to get out of his head and let go. And he needs to not be in charge of anything for a bit. I can give him that.”
Minho considers him for a moment before his expression morphs into blinding levels of pride and gratitude. “I think you’re right, Bokkie. I’ll make sure the dorm stays clear. Just make sure you let us know when the coast is clear.”
Seungmin's bad mood has gone on long enough. Felix knows just how to take care of it.

Summary
By the time they’re done eating, Jeongin and Felix have wandered over from the other dorm, carrying a bunch of food from Minho, as well as a laundry hamper. Jisung doesn't notice the way that Seungmin and Hyunjin share a meaningful glance with each other before Hyunjin disappears for the bathroom; instead, Jisung is trying to figure out why everyone is suddenly here while he nibbles on another chocolate bar.
It’s not until Minho walks in a few minutes later, face stormy and arms laden with bags of Jisung’s favorite heat snacks that he realizes what’s happening.
Jisung’s heat is news to no one but himself, as usual. The pack comes together to be Jisung’s army, after Hyunjin’s epiphany a few months back helps more than just himself.

Summary
Life-Promised is a series following SKZ as a polyamorous pack, helmed by their Pack Alpha, Chan, and his two mates: Pack Omega Minho and Pack Beta Seungmin. 2MinChan are exclusively mated to each other, but are still in relationships with and participate in intimacy with the other members. Meanwhile, as of Cycles, none of the other members are mated, but are all polyamorous with each other.
This series was written specifically to explore a more inclusive and involved dynamic for Betas, instead of allowing them to be a lazy way to not write betas into intimate scenes, or using the role to deny a character of any interesting personality traits.
