Vox let his legs stretch out before him, tilted back his new-ancient young-old head, and laughed. “Oh, that’s a good one. So after everything, you’re still out here letting absolutely anyone into your precious hotel without so much as a second thought to what they might do to you?”
He straightened his head, grin stretching to the very edges of his screen, to find himself looking at a very confused Charlie Morningstar. That confusion lasted for about the time it took to press pause. Shock took center stage then, then anger, and finally, disgust made her straighten up and look down at her like the thing on the bottom of Alastor’s boot.
Because Al wasn’t around to enjoy it, Vox grinned.
“You,” the princess growled.
“Me,” Vox mocked. “Tell me, Princess, do you still think that I can be redeemed?”

Summary

As part of his begrudging reparations, Vox is working as the hotel's PR Manager, intending to stew in his resentment forever—but no one stays immune to Charlie Morningstar for long, and Vox is no exception.
