Summary
Izuku Midoriya learnt from a young age that all men are not created equal.
It was a difficult fact to come to terms with, but one that he knew to be true nonetheless.
Where some people were wealthy, living in the lap of luxury and having everything they’ve ever wanted, Izuku lived life wondering if he would have enough food to go to bed without hunger panging in his belly.
Where some people had amazing quirks, powerful and flashy and oh so perfect for hero-work, Izuku had one that he was ashamed to talk about, underwhelmingly not powerful, and not flashy.
Where some kids grew up in a happy household, with a loving family and doting parents, family pets and movie nights with popcorn and soda, Izuku Midoriya could only ever dream of having such a thing.
No, Izuku was not born equal.
Izuku was just one of the many unfortunate, downtrodden souls in a world ruled by the powerful. One of many that people called “useless”. One that remains forgotten and lost between the cracks of a broken society. But he refuses to let that get him down.
This is his story.
