Summary
"Crimson roses...so fickle in meaning. Thrown to performers in praise, given to lovers in various displays of size and grandeur, or simply a thoughtless, last-minute apology. Even in mourning, their presence is more expected than profound. An easy, crowd-pleasing flower that can fit virtually every situation. On the surface, they may be desired in the traditional sense of love and romance, yes. Upon second glance, however, they've been reduced to mere formality. Its meaning has grown hollow, diluted by constant repetition and superficial gestures. Only a bold facade of love do they carry now, accepted when stripped of their thorns."
Harlequin understands his role as The Poison.
The question is...do you?
