It started with low murmurs, Eddie’s deep voice rumbling something that made Shannon laugh, a bright, carefree sound. Rustling sounds, followed by the creak of their bedframe and a rhythmic, insistent thump, thump, thump against the shared drywall. Buck could smell them through the plaster, the potent, intoxicating cocktail of two alphas mating.

Despite repeated replication attempts, no reliable strategy for emotional neutrality was found. The data strongly support the hypothesis that Subject Buckley is hazardous to academic composure.
