Shoko also sent him a few messages. It was odd, considering they would both usually just use Satoru’s phone when the two were together.
It was only two, a photo and a caption reading “u better get ur man lol”. Frowning, Suguru clicked on the picture.
It was Satoru, of course it was, given how Shoko’s teasing mainly revolved around his and Suguru’s relationship. However, looking a little closer, it became apparent that he was talking to someone. The man had blond stringy hair and was looking at Satoru like he wanted him. The familiar feeling of dread rose in Suguru’s stomach, and he quickly set the phone down.

Maybe this is just another reason, another excuse for Satoru to be touched by Suguru, to be pliant in his hands if only for a temporary amount of time. At this point, Satoru will grasp at anything to get Suguru’s attention, whether it be through his touch or his gaze or his voice. It’s already been decided:
Satoru will get a tattoo, and Suguru will be the one to do it.
OR
In an effort to entice his tattoo artist best friend, Satoru ends up with a tongue piercing and a tramp stamp.

“Uh—yes,” Suguru answers.
The nurse’s tone softens. “Before you see him, there’s something you should know.” She glances at the door, then back at Suguru. “He sustained a head injury. He’s awake, but… he doesn’t seem to remember much.”
The world fades out around Suguru.
“I’m sorry,” Suguru manages after a beat. “What?”
After Satoru loses his memories in an accident, Suguru can’t bring himself to remind him that they’ve broken up.
