Summary
Scott felt the urge to slam his head on his unstable desk as hard as he could, until his brains were splattered all over. But even after his skull had cracked, he didn’t think the images he’d seen would ever leave. This ‘DepravedAnonymous’ was really starting to make him lose his shit. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been forced to see so much horrifying content for a case. The cybersecurity nerds had taught him and his partner how to safely access the wretched website: ‘mutilatedbunnies.onion.’ Some man on the dark web. Posting videos of what he’d do to a nameless person, the things he shared were one of the worst Scott had ever seen, and he prayed for a good night’s sleep tonight. Although it was futile, the images he’d seen over and over burned into his memory. Into the deepest black pit of his being, the same place where he pushed anything that gave him that tingle. That gut feeling that a criminal was anything other than human, the only explanation he could give for such cruelty.
