Summary
Vanitas was no stranger to pain. In many ways it had become a reliable constant in his life. A reminder that he was in fact still breathing, still moving, making progress despite the inevitable. Physical pain he could deal with. Something tangible, tactical. A thing that he could see and feel on his skin, in his bones.
Emotional pain, however, was something to be avoided at all costs. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, he could not seem to escape that sort of burden. No matter how much he tries to feign connections, to try and prevent collateral harm, he cannot dissuade people from getting closer to him.

Takes place post-amusement park arc. Noé and Vanitas take some time to talk about things. Vanitas needs to work through a lot of emotions. Noé comes to several realizations.Follows most events of the manga, though it deviates from the most recent chapters.
