Taking a deep breath, Izuku says, "Shouto, I - I promise I'm not trying to make fun of you here. I'm really not, but - but that absolutely, one hundred percent does not mean what you think it does."
Shouto blinks at him again, so stupidly pretty Izuku kind of hates him for it.
"It doesn't?"
"Friends with benefits means that you're friends, yes - but the benefits part suggests that the friends are messing around with each other. It implies that they're hooking up."
Shouto stares.
Steeling himself, Izuku says, "Like, that's the benefit, Shou. It's sex."
He stares, and stares, and stares, the wheels behind his eyes turning impossibly slowly, and when it finally seems to sink in, when he finally looks like he understands the enormity of what he has told the media is happening between him and Izuku, he sinks back into the couch.
"…ah. I see."
Then, a moment later, he follows this assessment up with a resigned, quiet, "Fuck."
Izuku snorts out a laugh and pats his shoulder.
"Yeah," he agrees. "Fuck."
Todoroki accidentally tells the rest of Japan that he and Midoriya are having sex. It's not the worst thing Izuku's ever experienced.

Summary
“I’m Midoriya Izuku, but you can call me Izuku, and I’m six years old!” The boy exclaims, shoving his tiny hand into Shouto’s personal space with a wide grin.
Shouto almost doesn't move, but something in those eyes forces him to. He takes the offered hand slowly, shaking it like he’s seen his father do to the other heroes.
“Todoroki Shouto,” is all he says back. His voice is small.
Midoriya Izuku shakes his hand too firmly, too bouncily. Their hands bob up and down between them for a few moments too long.
Shouto thinks it’s fitting. Everything about this boy is… too much.

Shouto meets Izuku at the Pro Hero Ranking Ceremony when is he is six years old.
It quickly becomes his favorite day of the year.

Dialing a wrong number was no unusual occurrence. Everyone did it once in a while, and Katsuki was well aware of that fact.
However, possessing this knowledge made it no less aggravating for him to discover — a full two minutes into his rant about his day — that he’d been venting his frustrations to a complete stranger. As if that wasn't enough, said stranger was also inexplicably determined to hear his story to its end.

Twin splashes broke through the stark, ringing silence that followed and Aizawa felt the water ripple against his body.
"Uhhhhhh, well shit. Okay." Hizashi laughed quietly. "Yeah. Yeah. I like fucking men. A lot."
"Mmm... Why?"
A sputter of sound not unlike an engine failing to turn over. “Is my queer sex life really what you're trying to hear from me right now, Shouta?"
It was.
It wasn't.
Aizawa found he didn't care about the answer as much as the way he felt hearing Hizashi say his first name. It was as much of an answer as it was the most damning piece of evidence so far.
