Barbie has always slept alone. When she was still in Barbieland she never let Ken stay over, and girlsnight always ended with each Barbie going home to their own dreamhouse. She was used to not sharing her bed and she even remembered liking the space, but this felt different. It was her first night in the real world and it wasn’t that Glorias guest room wasn’t cozy. Quite the opposite. The light pink floral wallpaper and the white furniture gave the room a homey feel, if a tad old lady like. The problem was the walls. Their presence felt constricting and claustrophobic. So used and being able to see the other Barbies and most of Barbieland from her bed, sleeping by herself in the guest room made her feel so- alone.
