The green-clad warrior lay a bit stunned on the ground, clearly not expecting such an unorthodox attack. A few stray, non lethal sparks from Kira’s onslaught danced across his torso. Before Kira could rush him he stood, wiping a smudge of dirt off his check. His red rimmed eyes blazed.
He was pissed.

The game Clumsy Ninja follows the training of Clumsy (Brad) after his fellow ninja (Kira) was kidnapped. He was only eight when it happened, sparking off the games main quest of training and rescue. Yet, not much was explored on Kira's end. This series follows the game, (mostly from Kira's perspective), detailing the start of her travels with Hori and her inevitable kidnapping and encaging.
While playing the game can make the reading experience more interesting, it is not a requirement to understand/enjoy this fanfic.

Summary
Eira knew she screwed up the instant she turned around to see Kari standing in the red light. She knew she screwed up when her voice wouldn’t come out and her legs wouldn’t move as the krill hit kari. She screwed up and let Kari die when she was right there and she’s screwing up by running away right now instead of finding Kari again, but that’s just what she is. A coward.
Maybe one day she’ll find it in her to make it up to Kari.
Kari wakes up abandoned and alone. Their first and best friend is gone and has left them to die. Kari will not let this slide.
Kari looks for Eira.
