Summary
Magic arises from the bodies of the witches, more specifically from an organ located beneath the heart, protected by the ribs. When Atsuko Kagari was just a child, an accident occurred; as a result, the organ responsible for her magic was shattered, making it nearly impossible for her to continue practicing magic—and leaving her with some heart problems as well.
Now, years later, Akko finds herself entangled in a series of troubles at the academy that force her to spend more time than she’d like with the star student Diana Cavendish—her rival, who, curiously enough, can’t seem to take her eyes off her.
